An afternoon at Artisan at Bolton Hotel for the Reverie High Tea with the most wonderful company
Artisan serves one of my very favourite tea brands, TWG Tea, in the most beautiful Royal Tasman fine bone china - it was very lush!
The bar is high for afternoon tea in Wellington and I would describe our experience as good. The teaware and service were my favourite aspects of our visit today.
If you love an abundance of sweet, creamy textures for afternoon tea then Reverie will be your cup of tea. Personally I would have liked to have discovered a wider variety of flavours and textures and more of a balance of savoury items.
Don’t get me wrong, it was lovely - we’re just spoilt for choice in Wellington and it wouldn’t be the top of my list. I anticipate the release of their next menu and look forward to returning another time.
